CAT 2017 Exam Details :

CAT Application Form 2017 has been released on 9th August 2017. This examination is one of the toughest examinations to take admissions in Management Schools of India. The Last date for CAT 2018 Online Registration has been set for 20th September. As it is the main stream examination conducted in order to give admission to candidates in renowned Indian Institutes of Management. CAT 2017 Notification has been released on the official website on 30th July. The Common Admission Test 2017 examination is going to be organized Indian Institutes of Management, Lucknow (IIM-L).

Latest Updates: Candidates are able to download CAT Admit Card 2017 because it has been released now. The Common Admission Test has been scheduled to conduct on 26th November 2017.

About CAT: CAT also known as Common Admission Test is one of the hardest exams which is a national level exam. It is a competitive examination which is conducted by the IIM to grant admission in top 19 Indian Institute of Management and various other business schools. CAT 2017 Seats Quota

Though the no. of seats are not specified and also the number varies year to year, it also provides a great opportunity to a huge no. of students. But, there is also a short amount of relaxation for all those candidates who belong to reserved categories as there is certainly no. of seats which are reserved for these categories.   • ST- 7.5%
  • SC- 15%
  • OBC- 27%
  • PWD- 3%

Note- The candidate who'll be claiming reservation has to attach supporting documents with CAT 2017 Application Form. The aspirants who'll fail in submitting the required documents proving their reservation will not be given any relaxation.

CAT 2017 Eligibility Criteria :

Education Qualification: -

  • CAT is an eligibility test or common admission test conducted for admission in B-schools. The aspirants who want to apply for CAT 2017 Examination has to possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree from a recognized university by government of India with at least 50% while for the candidates belonging to different categories like SC/ST/PWD have a relaxation of 5% i.e. they should have only 45%.
  • The applicants who are in final year as in 2017 and waiting for results can also apply. Though the condition is the students has to submit the real documents.

Age Limit: -

There is no specified age limit for applicants who will be applying for CAT 2017 Exam, though the minimum age is expected to be 18 years with no upper age limit.

CAT 2017 Application Form :

Aspirants, who’re looking forward to apply for this examination, should visit the official website of CAT 2017 Online Examination i.e. www.iimcat.ac.in. Candidates are advised to read CAT 2017 Notification and all the necessary details first. As we have mentioned above the CAT Online Registration has been started from 9th August and it will be closed on 20th September 2017. Therefore, candidates who are interested and eligible to apply for CAT examination should apply on or before the last date because once the last date over then no one will be applicable to fill CAT Application Form 2017.

  • Visit the Official website of CAT i.e. www.iimcat.ac.in
  • Look for CAT 2017 Notification
  • Click on Apply Online for CAT 2017 Examination
  • Go through all the instructions mentioned carefully before filling up the form.
  • Fill all the asked details and check it carefully
  • Upload scanned copy of Photograph, Signature, Supporting documents
  • Submit the CAT 2017 Application Form
  • Take out a hard copy of the form

Once, CAT registration process will be completed, IIM will send the login credentials to the applications by sending E-mail and SMS. After receiving the login details, applications will have to log in and fill up CAT 2017 online application form. Application for is divided into some parts such as Personal Details, Contact Details, Academic Details, Work Experience, Select IIMs to apply, Select Test Centres and Interview Cities. Candidates will have to also upload passport size photograph and signature in .jpeg format. The uploaded photograph must be clear and signature must be legible enough in order to be eligible.

Last Year, total 2,32,434 application form was filled for CAT examination, but only 1,95,000 candidates appeared in the examination.

CAT 2017 Application Fee :

The applicant has to pay the following amount of fees for this test. The Unreserved category i.e. Gen/OBC has to pay Rs. 1800 and the SC/ST/PWD will have to pay Rs. 900. The applicants have to upload a copy of their SC/ST/PWD certificate along with the form while making the fee payment. Once the fees are submitted, it'll not be refunded back.

CAT 2017 Exam Pattern :

CAT 2017 Exam Pattern with Full Details: CAT 2017 exam pattern is available here for the candidate's help. CAT examination will be held on 26th November in which 3 sections will be available Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning. Total 100 questions will be asked in the examination for maximum 300 marks. There is negative marking for wrong questions. Candidates will get 4 marks for each correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. There is no negative marking for non-MCQs or unattempted questions. All questions will be multiple choice and non-multiple choice. Total 34 questions will be asked from Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VRC) and Quantitative Ability (QA), but 32 questions will be asked from the Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DI & LR).

CAT 2017 Syllabus :

Although there is no specific Syllabus for CAT 2017 by IIMs. as per the old question papers pattern, we can analysis CAT 2017 syllabus.The Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIMs) has mentioned the level of the questions (which will be asked in the examination) will be similar to Class VIII-Class X. However, the examination experts mentioned that some of the questions will be asked from the Class XII to graduation level. CAT Admit Card 2017 :

Candidates who have successfully submitted their CAT 2017 Application Form are able to download CAT 2017 Admit Card from 25th October to till the examination date. The Common Admission Test is going to be conducted on 26th November and after the release of CAT Admit Card 2017, candidates will be able to download it from the official website by using the important details. The CAT Examination Admit card will carry all the important details about the examination such as the name of candidates, exam date, exam center, important instructions about the examination, etc.

CAT Cut off 2017 :

In the CAT examination, there are the minimum marks required for a candidate to qualify one examination. CAT 2017 Cut-Off Marks will be released at the time of result declared. Students will be distributed on the basis of marks scored by them. Students check whether they have qualified the exam or not by checking the official cut-off released by the concerned authorities. The cut off will be based on the difficulty level of examination, number of seats, and number of students appeared in the examination. 

CAT Result 2017 :

The CAT 2017 Result will be declared the 2nd week of January 2018. CAT Result 2017 will be declared on the official website of CAT that is iimcat.ac.in.
