CTET 2017 Application Form

Overview :

Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is a test which is conducted by CBSE every year for recruiting primary teacher for class I-V and Upper primary teacher for class VI-VIII. CTET 2017 Exam will be conducted to fill all the vacant positions in all central schools like KVs/NVs etc. The application form CTET 2016-17 is expected to be conducted in february 2017. CTET 2017 Application Form will be soon available online. This exam is conducted in two sessions first in morning session for 1st to 5th class and then evening session for class 6th to 8th class. CBSE conducts this exam twice every year at all India level. This exam makes the candidates eligible to appear in different teaching exams like TGT, PGT etc. This is just an eligibility test which is required to be passed by the teacher as a qualification criterion. Here we will mention the important details like Age, Vacancies, Eligibility Criteria, Exam Pattern, Syllabus required for CTET 2017.

Vacancy Details :

CTET is an eligibility test which is needed to be qualified to apply or appear for different exams TGT,  PGT, TET, BTC, NTT. There are no fixed vacancies allotted by CTET as the no. of vacancies are divided into subzones according to the different exams conducted by the government. The latest no. of vacancies will be soon released and notified on the official website.For further more information you can log on to its website.

Eligibility Criteria :

Applicants who aspire to crack CTET should satisfy at least one condition from this list of eligibility criteria. Eligibility criteria for class 1st to 5th is different and eligibility criteria for upper primary class teacher for 5th to 8th is different. Let us have a look at the eligibility criteria described below.

 

 







Educational Qualifications

For class I-V class teacher (any)

For class VI- VIII (any)

- Must have completed class 12th with at least 50% marks or should have cleared or appearing in final year diploma of elementary education. or

- Must have at least 50% in 12th or cleared or appearing in final year of diploma in elementary education as per the NCTE Regulations 2002. or

-  At least 50% in 12th + appearing or appeared for 4 year graduate degree

- At least 50% in 12th + cleared or appearing in final year exam of diploma of education (2 years).

- Bachelor’s Degree + cleared/appearing in final year of elementary education

- Graduation degree + passed or appearing in final year exam of (2 year) diploma elementary education

- Graduation degree with 50% at least + passed or appearing in the final year of bachelor’s of education

- Graduation with 40% + cleared or appearing in final exam of bachelor’s of education according to NCTE education

- 12th class with 50% + cleared or appearing in final year exam of A.Ed/B.sc.Ed/B.A.Ed

-Graduation degree with 50% + cleared or appearing in 1 year B.ed program

 

Age Limit


The minimum age required to apply for CTET is 18 years and there is no upper age limit i.e. candidates who are 18 and more can apply for this test. The only primary condition is to fulfill the desired educational qualifications required for this exam. Relaxation age will be provided as per the government norms for each reserved category.

How to Apply :

How to apply for CTET 2017 ?


  • First of all visit the official website of ctet i.e. www.ctet.nic.in

  • Click on apply online

  • Register for CTET, then save this registration number for further process

  • Instructions will be displayed on the screen go through them carefully, CTET 2017 Application Form will appear on the screen.

  • Fill the Online Application with all the particulars

  • Click on next, Upload scanned copies of photographs and signature

  • Now deposit the application fees through Online payment mode like net banking, challan, Debit-card, debit card. Application fees for different categories is stated above.

  • Click on the submit button

  • Take out the hard copy of the application form for future reference

Application Fee :

 

The applicant has to pay the following application fees for this test. The Unreserved category i.e. Gen/OBC has to pay Rs.1000 for ( Both I and II paper) and Rs.600  if they want to give (either I or II Paper). The reserved category i.e. SC/ST/PH has to pay Rs. 500 (Both I and II Paper) and Rs. 300 if they want to give (either I or II Paper).

Exam Pattern :

CTET 2017 will be a multiple choice question paper. The duration exam will be two and a half hours and each question will comprise of 1 mark each and there will be no negative marking against wrong answer. Two papers will be conducted first in the morning session for class I-V and then in the evening session for class VI-VIII.  The questions will be based on topics like Child development and pedagogy Mathematics and Environmental studies, Social studies and social sciences.
