Central Board of Secondary Education is going to conduct the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) examination soon. CTET 2017 notification will be released in September. Therefore, all the candidates who are eligible to apply and want to appear in this examination are suggested to fill CTET Application form 2017 for the examination. All the examination details and CTET online form will be released soon on the official website - ctet.nic.in/. 

Latest Updates - As per the latest updates, CTET Examination will be conducted via online mode form this year. It is expected that exam pattern will also be changed. CTET Online Application Form is expected to be released in September 2017 at ctet.nic.in/.

Previous Update: CTET 2017 Notification expected to be released after UGC NET application procedure, but there is no exact date revealed for the notification release.
As per the revealed news about the CTET 2017 Examination, From Now the CBSE will conduct CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) Exam ONCE in a year instead of Twice.

Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is a test which is conducted by CBSE every year whereby candidates get an eligibility certificate for the appointment of a primary teacher for class I-V and Upper primary teacher for class VI-VIII. CTET 2017 Exam will be conducted to fill all the vacant positions in all central schools like KVs/NVs etc. This exam makes the candidates eligible to appear in different teaching exams like TGT, PGT etc. This is just an eligibility test which is required to be passed by the candidates as a qualification criterion. CTET 2017 Eligibility Criteria :

Applicants who aspire to crack CTET 2017 Eligibility Criteria should satisfy at least one condition from this list of eligibility criteria. Eligibility criteria for class 1st to 5th are different and eligibility criteria for an upper primary class teacher for 5th to 8th are different. Must have completed class 12th with at least 50% marks or should have cleared or appeared in final year diploma of elementary education.


Must have at least 50% in 12th or cleared or appearing in final year of diploma in elementary education as per the NCTE Regulations 2002. 


 At least 50% in 12th + appearing or appeared for 4 year graduate degree


At least 50% in 12th + cleared or appearing in final year exam of diploma of education (2 years).


Bachelor's Degree + cleared/appearing in final year of elementary education

Graduation degree + passed or appearing in final year exam of (2 year) diploma elementary education


Graduation degree with 50% at least + passed or appearing in the final year of bachelor's of education


Graduation with 40% + cleared or appearing in final exam of bachelor's of education according to NCTE education


12th class with 50% + cleared or appearing in final year exam of A.Ed/B.sc.Ed/B.A.Ed


Graduation degree with 50% + cleared or appearing in 1 year B.ed program

Age Limit

The minimum age required to apply for CTET 2017 Exam is 18 years and there is no upper age limit i.e. candidates who are 18 and more can apply for this test. The only primary condition is to fulfil the desired educational qualifications required for this exam.

CBSE CTET Online Form 2017 :

The CTET 2017 Application form has not been released yet. Now, CBSE has decided to release the CTET Notification after UGC NET application procedure. Candidates, who want to fill CTET 2017 online form in prescribed format on the official website of CTET that is ctet.nic.in, will be able to apply soon. Candidates may submit the CTET Online Application form before the last date. Notification will release soon.

How to Apply for CTET 2017 Exam?

  • First of all, visit the official website of ctet i.e. www.ctet.nic.in
  • Click on apply online
  • Register for CTET, then save this registration number for further process
  • Instructions will be displayed on the screen go through them carefully, CTET 2017 Application Form will appear on the screen.
  • Fill the Online Application with all the particulars
  • Click on next, Upload scanned copies of photographs and signature
  • Now deposit the application fees through Online payment mode like net banking, challan, Debit-card, debit card. Application fees for different categories is stated above.
  • Click on the submit button
  • Take out the hard copy of the application form for future reference

CTET 2017 Application Fee :

The applicant has to pay the following application fees for this test. The Unreserved category i.e. Gen/OBC has to pay Rs.1000 for ( Both I and II paper) and Rs.600 if they want to give (either I or II Paper). The reserved category i.e. SC/ST/PH has to pay Rs. 500 (Both I and II Paper) and Rs. 300 if they want to give (either I or II Paper).

CTET 2017 Syllabus :

CTET 2017 exam paper will be a multiple choice question paper. The duration exam will be two and a half hours and each question will comprise of 1 mark each and there will be no negative marking against the wrong answer. Two papers will be conducted first in the morning session for class I-V and then in the evening session for class VI-VIII. The questions will be based on topics like Child development and pedagogy Mathematics and Environmental studies, Social studies and social sciences.

CTET 2017 Selection Procedure :

Candidates should know about the proper CTET 2017 Selection process. Therefore, here we have given a full description of selection a procedure. According to the CTET examination authority department, candidates will be selected as per their performance in the CTET Online examination.   • Paper I: The paper I is for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.

CTET Admit Card 2017 :

The CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) will be released the admit card before 10to 15 days of examination. Admit card will be released via online mode. It means candidates will have to download CTET 2017 Admit card via online mode. For downloading the admit card of CTET exam 2017, applicants have to enter their password and registration number and password. The CTET Admit Card will be released only for those applicants who have dully filled the online form as well as submitted it within the fixed dates and payment of application fee.

CTET Cut off 2017 :

As we know, the CTET Cutoff marks are the minimum qualifying scores that the applicants will have to score for qualifying the exam. The CTET 2017 qualifying marks is 60 % and above. Candidates securing 60% & above will declare CTET qualified. However, Cut off marks will be released after the examination with the result. When the CBSE will release the cutoff list, we will provide the CTET Cutoff 2017 exam with the previous year cutoff lists.
