IBPS PO Job Profile & Responsibilities: - The PO (Probationary Officers) required to have a knowledge in several departments like Marketing, Finance, Loans, Accounting, and Advances. For the reason that they are responsible for guiding customers, introducing new products and services to them, handling their complaints, Cheques and ATM cards and issuing Demand Drafts. They are also responsible for supervising the work of bank clerks, to bring a new business, supervising the transactions as well as providing and documenting loans.

IBPS Clerk Job Profile & Responsibilities: - The IBPS Clerks work as the 1st point of contact required by customers for guidance and inquiries. They are responsible to withdrawal and deposit of cash by customers, receive cheques, demand drafts, pay orders, dividend warrants, maintain record of balance on a daily basis, monitor the work of other bank clerks and the sub-staff, issue ESI stamps & cash receipts, hold valuables of the bank in safe custody, balance tally, ledger maintenance, data entry, issue cheque books, market products as well as services of the bank. The IBPS Clerk job has simplified this position because almost of the work can be completed on computers by entering the daily transactions as well as other information served to Customers.

Difference between IBPS PO and Clerk Salary and Perks:

IBPS PO Salary: Basic Salary of PO (Probationary Officer) is Rs 23,700 while the in-hand salary drawn is approx 38,360 to 40,700 rupees. However, the salary will vary as per the location of posting. The perks include a special allowance, dearness allowance, house rent allowance, travel allowance, city compensatory allowance, leased accommodation, medical aid and benefits under the new pension scheme.

IBPS Clerk Salary: Basic salary of a bank clerk between Rs 11,765 to Rs 42,020 while the in-hand salary drawn is approx 19,461 Rupees. The perks include a house rent allowance, dearness allowance, medical allowance, etc.

Difference between IBPS PO and Clerk Selection Procedure

IBPS PO Selection Procedure - The Probationary Officers examination selection depends on the Prelims Exam, Mains Exam and Interview. The Prelims examination will be held for 1 hour for total 100 marks and it will include questions on the  Quantitative Aptitude, English language, as well as Reasoning Ability. While the Main examination will be held for 3 hours with a weightage of 200 marks. The Main examination will include questions of Reasoning and Computer Aptitude, General Awareness, English language along with Data Analysis and Interpretation.

IBPS Clerk Selection Procedure - Candidates who want to be a IBPS Clerk will also be required to clear Prelims exam, Mains exam, and Interview round. The Prelims examination will be held for only 1 hour that include questions of Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability, and English Language for 100 makes. While main examination will be held for 200 marks and total time duration of this examination is 135 minutes. It includes questions of English language,  Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness and computer knowledge.

IBPS PO and Clerk Eligibility Criteria:  Candidates must have a graduate degree from a recognized university and candidates age should be between 20 years to 30 years to apply for IBPS PO 2017 Examination.
