Q. Payment Status not updates?

Ans: Click on the "Check Payment Status" option provided in home page to know your payment status. This option is only to check status if you have paid through online options like credit/debit cards, net banking or Bank challan. This is not applicatble for post office payment.

Q. What are the requirements for Registration?

Ans. Candidates should have their own mobile number and valid & active personal email id and keep them active for the entire duration of recruitment. The email id should be unique .

Q. What is the procedure for Registration?

Ans. Enter the personal details asked for in the Registration page including your mobile number and email id and submit. The registration ID and password will be displayed to the candidate and OTPs will be sent to the registered mobile number and email id for validation.

Q. Can I edit the Registration details?

Ans. Registration details except for mobile number, email id and State you belong to can be edited.

Q. What is the procedure to login?

Ans. Use Registration ID and password which was displayed after registration and sent to your registered email id for logging in.

Q. How do I know that my application is submitted?

Ans. Your application is successful only on completion of all the stages including the fee payment and document upload. After the final submit, preview button will be enabled in case of successful completion of application to view or to take print of your application.

Q. I have not received email/sms during registration procedure? Why?

Ans. Check the correctness of mobile number and email id entered by you. Check your spam mails. You may also refresh and check your email after intervals. If no mail/sms is received, click on resend option. If it is noticed that the email id / mobile number has been wrongly entered inadvertently, click on change email id/mobile number option.

Q. Where should I refer for prescribed Education Qualification/Vacancies/PWD suitability/Medical Standards/Formats for various certificates?

Ans. Refer detailed CEN 01/2018 published ion the websites of all RRBs and also the download link of CEN 1/2018 provided in this website.

Q. What should I do if I forget password?

Ans. Your password is your registered date of birth in the format DDMMYYYY . It will be available in your registered email also.

Q. What all documents should I upload at the time of application?

Ans. 

  1. Scanned passport size photo(15kb-40kb) of the candidate with name and date printed on it.
  2. Scanned SC/ST certificate(50kb to 100kb). (if applicable)
  3. Scanned passport size photo of the scribe(15kb-40kb). (if applicable)

Q. When I try to upload the Photo/SC /ST certificate, it doesn’t accept Why?

Ans. The documents should be in JPG/JPEG format for successful uploading and the size should be:

  1. Passport size photos - 15 to 40 kb
  2. SC/ST certificate - 50kb to 100 kb

Q. How do I know that I belong to OBC creamy layer or Non-creamy layer?

Ans. The family income of the OBC-Non Creamy Layer candidate should not be more than 8Lakhs.The OBC certificate should be in the format prescribed as at Annexure-II wherein clear mention is made regarding the candidate not belonging to persons/sections of creamy layer. These are considered to be Non-Creamy Layer candidates.

Q. What is the Examination Fees?

Ans. For candidates belonging to SC / ST / Ex- Servicemen / PWDs / Female / Transgender / Minorities / Economically backward class: Rs 250/- and All other candidates: Rs 500/-. 

Q. Whether examination fee is re-fundable

Ans. The fees is refundable only to SC / ST / Ex- Servicemen / PWDs / Female / Transgender / Minorities / Economically backward class candidates on attending First Stage Computer Based Test.

Q. Can I take the print out of the application any time?

Ans. Yes. You can login by using registration ID and password and click on preview to view/take print of your application.

Q. What should I do if I have lost my SSLC/SSC/Matriculation Certificate?

Ans. You cannot register without furnishing SSLC/Matric roll number and year Of passing as available in the certificate. If these details are furnished based on the copy of the certificate and in case the candidate is called for DV, the original/Duplicate SSLC/SSC/Matriculation certificate has to be submitted.

Q. Can I edit the details in the application?

Ans. Yes. After final submission, the details in the application (except mobile number, email id and State) can be edited with the modification option by paying modification fee of Rs.250/- each time which is non refundable. The Modification can be done only twice.

Q. How will I come to know whether my application is accepted/rejected? 

Ans. In case the application is rejected after scrutiny, the same will be communicated through email.

Q. Where can I find the contact numbers of various RRBs?

Ans. Refer Para 19.0 of the detailed CEN 01/2018 published in the websites of RRBs.

Q. Whom should I contact in case there is any difficulty in filling up the application?

Ans. Click on the Helpdesk button to contact the concerned through email.

Q. In case the exam trades selected for various Qualifications viz 10+2, ITI, Diploma , Degree are different, what will be my Exam Trade for second stage CBT?

Ans. Suitable instructions will be issued regarding Exam trade for second stage CBT to the candidates who qualify in First stage CBT.

Q. I have completed the course from Centre of Excellence (COE) or Model ITI , can I apply against this notification?

Ans. Yes. For details of the COE Courses / Model ITI courses and their equivalent NCVT/ ITI trades, refer website www.rrbbnc.gov.in Enter the equivalent NCVT / ITI trade in the online application.

Q. What is the meaning of PCM in 10+2?

Ans: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Q. Is there any post available for PCM candidates?

Ans: Yes, you can apply for two posts i.e. Technician Grade III Signal & Technician Grade III Telecommunication.

Q. Can 12th pass candidates apply for it?

Ans: 10+2 with Physics and Maths can apply for two posts i.e. Technician Grade III Signal & Technician Grade III Telecommunication.

Q. Are Civil Engineering students eligible to fill RRB ALP application Form?

Ans: No, there is no post for Civil Engineer students.

Q. I’m doing Mechanical Engineering (6th Semester). I will complete my B.tech in 2019, So can I apply for RRB ALP Post?

Ans: No, you should have the Educational/Technical qualifications indicated for notified posts in the CEN from recognized Institute/University as on the closing date for submission of the ONLINE application i.e 05.03.2018 up to 23.59 Hrs.

Q. Is there any post for 10+2 PCM?

Ans: Yes, you can apply for two posts i.e. Technician Grade III Signal & Technician Grade III Telecommunication.

Q. I’m final year student of engineering, can apply for it?

Ans: Candidates should have the Educational/Technical qualifications indicated for notified posts in the CEN from recognized Institute/University as on the closing date for submission of the ONLINE application i.e 05.03.2018 up to 23.59 Hrs.

Q. I think for the post 70&71 we need only 12th with PCM. But, I have some doubt about it?

Ans: Yes, if you are 10+2 with Physics and Maths, then you can apply for the category serial no 70 & 71 i.e Technician Grade III Signal & Technician Grade III Telecommunication respectively.

Q. I have done 10+2 with PCM, may I apply only for Technician post?

Ans: Yes, candidates with 10+2 with Physics and Maths, then you can apply for the category serial no 70 & 71 i.e Technician Grade III Signal & Technician Grade III Telecommunication respectively.

Q. Sir I have completed my ITI can I apply for RRB ALP?

Ans: You must have done engineering Degree/ Matriculation / SSLC plus ITI from recognised institutions of NCVT/SCVT in the trades of Armature and Coil Winder / Electrician / Electronics Mechanic / Fitter / Heat Engine / Instrument Mechanic / Machinist / Mechanic Diesel / Mechanic Motor Vehicle / Millwright Maintenance Mechanic / Mechanic Radio & TV / Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Mechanic / Tractor Mechanic / Turner / Wireman.

Q. There is 17 zone, so have I fill online form only for one zone?

Ans: One application ONLY is required to be submitted for all the notified posts in this CEN. Any attempt by a candidate to submit more than one application against this CEN shall result in disqualification and debarment.

Q. Has to apply differently for each region?

Ans: No, One application ONLY is required to be submitted for all the notified posts in this CEN. Any attempt by a candidate to submit more than one application against this CEN shall result in disqualification and debarment.

Q. Is there any Assistant Loco Pilot vacancy in Mumbai centre?

Ans: Yes, The vacancy of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) is 1101 for Mumbai RRB Zone (BB).

Q. I have done 10+2 PCM, but not ITI, eligible or not?

Ans: Yes, you are eligible only for two posts i.e. Technician Grade III Signal & Technician Grade III Telecommunication.

Q. I have done Graduation, can I apply for it?

Ans: You can apply if you have 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for two posts i.e. Technician Grade III Signal & Technician Grade III Telecommunication.

Q. 10 +2 students are eligible or not?

Ans: You can apply if you have 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for two posts i.e. Technician Grade III Signal & Technician Grade III Telecommunication.

Q. I have done 10+2 with PCM and BSC (Chemistry), SO can I apply for it?

Ans: Yes. you can apply for two posts i.e. Technician Grade III Signal & Technician Grade III Telecommunication.

Q. I have done Diploma in Plastics Technology from CIPET, may I apply for it?

Ans: You can apply if you have 3 years Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile Engineering (OR) Combination of various streams of these Engineering disciplines from a recognised Institution in lieu of ITI.

Q. I have done Diploma in Computer Science, may I fill the application form?

Ans: If you have done 10+2 with PCM then you can apply for two posts i.e. Technician Grade III Signal & Technician Grade III Telecommunication. But if you have not done 10+2 with PCM, then you can’t apply.

Q. I have done graduation from Information Technology and 10+2 with PCM, may I apply for it?

Ans: You can apply if you have 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for two posts i.e. Technician Grade III Signal & Technician Grade III Telecommunication.

Q. I have done 12th (PCM) & ITI, so may I apply for both ALP & TECHNICIAN or only for one?

Ans: You can apply if you have 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for two posts i.e. Technician Grade III Signal & Technician Grade III Telecommunication.

Q. I have done BSC, may I fill this form?

Ans: You can apply if you have 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for two posts i.e. Technician Grade III Signal & Technician Grade III Telecommunication.

Q. I have done B.Tech (Civil engineering), can i apply for it?

Ans: You can’t apply.

Q. I have done graduation from Science, Can i apply for technician?

Ans: You can apply if you have 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for two posts i.e. Technician Grade III Signal & Technician Grade III Telecommunication.

Q. Is there any paper for Technician particular branch?

Ans: Second Stage CBT (Part B) is based on Technical topics. This part is qualifying in nature and shall have questions from the trade syllabus prescribed by Director General of Employment & Training (DGET). Duration: 60 Min, No of Questions: 75.

Q. I completed my B.E. in mechanical engineering but I have eye power -1.25. Am I eligible for loco pilot. If any one know about it, than please tell, it will be helpful for me. I watched your full video but you people nothing told about eye power.

Ans: You can't apply.
