UGC NET 2018 Application Form

CBSE UGC NET Application Form 2018 Online Submission (for Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor) has been started from 6th March to 12th April 2018. UGC NET 2018 Notification (Detailed Notice) has been released by the Central Board of Secondary Education to conduct UGC NET 2018 examination. UGC National Eligibility Test 2018 examination will be held on 8th July 2018. This is an offline examination which is conducted to determine the National Eligibility for Assistant Professor OR Junior Research Fellowship in both Indian Universities and Colleges OR for Both certificates. Therefore, yearly a huge number of candidates apply for it.

Aadhaar card is mandatory to fill CBSE UGC NET 2018 Application Form. An applicant will have to enter their Aadhaar card number, Name, DOB (Date of Birth), and Gender to Register for UGC NET 2018 Online Application. Candidates who don't have Aadhaar card should apply for the Aadhaar enrollment. Candidates who are from J&K, Meghalaya, and Assam can apply with the valid govt identification number like ration card, bank account, and passport.

Earlier, CBSE conducts UGC National Eligibility Test twice in a year. However, now Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to conduct UGC NET Examination only once in a year from 2018. Candidates who will get the Junior Research Fellowship award will be eligible to pursue research in their Post Graduation subject. Candidates will be able to pursue the research from IITs or any other national organisations. CBSE will conduct UGC NET exam in 85 subjects at 91 selected NET examination cities which are spread across India.

UGC NET 2018 Eligibility Criteria :

Educational Qualification: To apply for the UGC NET 2018 examination, candidates should have to qualify with at least 55% marks in Master’s Degree or equivalent from any University / Institute which should be recognised by UGC. Candidates must have their graduation degree in the listed subjects. Candidates who are belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD category should have at least 50% marks in Master’s Degree.

Candidates have appeared in the final year of Master’s, whose result is not declared yet, and whose examination has been delayed can also apply and fill CBSE UGC 2018 Application Form.

All the Ph.D degree holder candidates if your master’s degree examination has been completed by 19th September 1991 then you will be eligible to apply for UGC NET 2018 with the relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks.

All the applicants are advised to appear only in the subject of their post-graduation. If your post-graduation subject is not covered in the list of subjects then you can appear in a related subject.

Age Limit for UGC NET 2018 Examination

Junior Research Fellowship: If you are going to appear in UGC NET Exam 2018 for Junior Research Fellowship, then your age should not more than 30 years as on 1st July 2018. 5 years of age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PWD.

Assistant Professor: Candidates who are going to appear in UGC NET 2018 examination for Assistant professor then they can apply at any age because there is no upper age limit for Assistant Professor.

UGC NET 2018 Application Form :

On behalf of University Grants Commission (UGC), CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) has released the detailed notification to conduct UGC NET 2018 examination. It is a National Eligibility Test, which will be conducted for Assistant Professor OR Junior Research Fellowship. How to Fill UGC NET 2018 Application Form?

  • Visit the official website that is - cbsenet.nic.in
  • First of all, Read UGC NET 2018 Official Notification Carefully
  • Click on the “Apply Online for UGC NET 2018 July Exam”
  • Login (if you have already registered) Or Register with all the required details (if you have not registered)
  • Read all the instructions and Fill all the necessary details with required information
  • Upload your scanned passport size photograph and signature
  • Pay application fee through the e-Challan generated by the website
  • After that submit your application form and take printout of application form, Attendance Slip, and Admission Card

UGC NET 2018 Application Fee :

Candidates will have to pay the application fee via credit/ debit card or through e-challan. Candidates may also pay the CBSE UGC NET Application fee through cash via Syndicate/ICICI/Canara/HDFC Bank branch. Candidates who belong from General category will have to pay Rs. 1000/-, OBC category will have to pay Rs. 500/- and SC/ST/PWD category candidates will have to pay Rs. 250/- only.

UGC NET Admit Card 2018 :

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will release UGC NET 2018 Admit Card before 10 to 15 days of examination. Admit card of CBSE UGC NET 2018 Exam will be released on the official website that is cbsenet.nic.in. Candidates are advised to download admit card on or before the examination date from the official website and they need to bring CBSE UGC NET Admit Card 2018 on the examination centre with a Photo identity card such as College/Institute Identity Card, Passport, Aadhaar Card, Driving License, Voters Id Card, Pan Card, etc.

UGC NET Cut Off 2018 :

The applicants will have to score as per the minimum CBSE UGC NET 2018 Cutoff marks to be eligible for Junior Research Fellowship OR Lectureship. CBSE UGC NET Cut Off 2018 will be released according to the different category and discipline. There is no sectional cutoff score for CBSE UGC NET exam. The cumulative marks for all sections are taken into consideration and opinion for drawing the CBSE UGC NET Merit List 2018.

CBSE UGC NET Result 2018 :

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will announce UGC NET 2018 Result after 2-3 months of written examination. As per the official news, the UGC NET 2018 examination is expected to be held in June / July 2018.
